I have very much enjoyed the work of James all my life and about a year ago went into a Barnes and Noble to buy a few DC's. Without my glasses on I thought I bought a new James recording and only discovered it was your lastest after I slipped it into my car player. What a discovery!! I'm an old music student and you have inspired me to learn to play guitar. My wife and I are planning to attend your performance this coming week in Lancaster, New York. Thanks for sharing your gifts!!

More than just a fan for many years, I know my students will benefit from your pure love of music and insights, and that so many in Western New York are looking forward to seeing you again. It is my hope, and goal, to give you a reception that you will long remember. Ken and the CKSO.

I'm very sorry to discover you and your music only today. I've loved your brother songs for almost all of my life, but I really didn't know you because here in Italy probably you never push your art. Great, really great!!!!! Thanks to the net and you-tube. I'll try to buy some of your records, even if I think that the best of you is "live". Now I will love quite all Taylor's family & co. Really you hit my heart with your songs and voice. Meet you in heaven.!!!! bye -

My husband and I loved your recent concert in Holly Springs, NC. The last time I saw you perform was in downtown Chapel Hill in the spring of 1978. You've only gotten better! After you mentioned your book, I tracked it down using our inter-library loan system here in Wake County. To my delight, the copy I received came from UNC-Chapel Hill's library. I really enjoyed your book and wish it were still in print to help other aspiring performers. Have you considered using a print-on-demand service, such as Lulu.com, Blurb or Amazon's Booksurge, to keep your book in print? And, one final memory to share: Last summer (August 2008), my husband and I spent three weeks in Italy. While shopping at the Italian Motor Club's retail store in Milan for road maps, a familiar voice filled the air. James Taylor was singing *You've Got A Friend.* While eating dinner later in a Venice restaurant, N.C. beach music was filling the air. It's funny how music fills your heart and takes you home, no matter where you are.

Hi Livingston, I grew up in Lake Forest (private)and I spent my summers in Door County Wisconsin and my Best friends The "Rentschler Family" spent theirs on the Vineyard. In Manitowoc, WI. you invited my daughter to sing "Heart & Soul" with you on stage. Just came back from visiting her in Arizona and she had the ticket still with her and framed for the show. Was in Washington DC in 1971 and saw you at if my recollection is correct Catholic University and a # of times in Chicago. You are a year ahead of me so I have followed your career for many years and you are a wonderful man and artist. Thanks so much. I am in the battle for and of my life right now and your music sure helps.

I've been to a few of your shows and I love your music. The one thing that I can't figure out is how James has gained such commercial success and the brother with the better voice isn't as well known. Sorry James, Love you too but even though the voices are so similar, Livingston has a quality that in my opinion is a step up. Keep making your beautiful music!

We had the pleasure of seeing Liv on Saturday 17March2008 in Holly Springs. Because of being on his mailing list, we actually knew about the concert before it was listed on the venue's ticket site. That meant that we were ready to go and snagged the first 3 tickets sold right in the front row when they went on sale (next to the reserved seat for the Mayor :-) We thoroughly enjoyed it, we heard some of our favorites that we hadn't heard Liv do in person before, and we hope that he was as energized by the performance as we all were. And it is fantastic to see a performer who takes the time and effort to meet with everyone after the gig. I love that I was able to get a signed copy of "Unsolicited Material" (my favorite) as well as a photo with Liv -- it was much appreciated! Best wishes to you,

I am 30 min west of the Lakeside Ohio.. Ive just finished reading the notes on the Making of "There You Are Again" I laughed then I cried then I laughed harder. and the whole time I was amazed at the thoughts, the work and the luck that goes into your music. Oh If I could only be a Shadow on the Wall. I dont see a Lakeside Concert this year. What about a Cain Park Concert? When your Head hits the pillow tonight just think about a 52 year young guy in Ohio that would love to trade places with you. except during the writing of "I wish I were a Cowboy" I got my own troubles.. Thanks for your gift of music....

I have seen you twice, both in the eighties. I fell in love. I know that you have probably lived in your brothers shadow your whole life but know this, you are just as talented. Much of ones success depends not so much about their talent, as more right time, right place, fate. I love your brother too but your both very uniquely different and special in styles. Thank you for staying true to your love and giving the rest of us a taste of your talent. Jill Koerner

Ditto to Dave. I am a old/newcomer to your music, and I was so pleased to have seen you last night. You are so enjoyable to listen to, both musically and personally on stage. Liv, many years ago, my family and I were walking through the National Zoo in Washington, DC, when my bestfriend, Christine and I recogonized your voice coming from a large field. When we peeked over the wall, there you were! Needless to say, the family and kids went on to see the animals, but, we stayed to hear your wonderful singing! Mr Taylor, Thank you for entertaining us. What fun we had. We are still cracking ourselves up after you allowed us to shamelessly hold court in front of the concession stand at the Colonial on Saturday night. You were gracious and kind to us as we "hung with the band" so to speak. Hope the hydrangea wasn't too forward of an expression of our adoration - our hearts on our sleeves! (I nailed the timing, I need to work on my aim). Your performance was stellar and we promise to be front and center when you return to the Philadelphia area. your friends, Sue and Sue PS If you need a fine example of a couple of groupies for the course that you teach we would be happy to share our 20+ years of experience with the class.

I saw you at a little club in Knoxville, Tennessee so many years ago that I hate to think that far back. I've never forgotten how wonderful that evening was and the little piece of "Many a New Day" that you played. I also came away thinking you were maybe the nicest guy ever when I talked to you briefly and you kindly signed my ticket. I still love your music and your brother James is cool too....I do not often come to the U.S. but happened to catch him in concert in Indianapolis in late 2006. Liv, hope your trip to Ecuador was a blast, and that you were warmer than we were back here on the east coast! Have a wonderful 2008, thanks again so much for the great show here in town last month, and until next time, keep it between the ditches! All the best,

My husband and I saw you at the Iron Horse last night in Noho(as locals call it). We invited friends from Pittsfield to join us and we just had a blast. Thank you for a nice evening out close to home!

Hey Livingston, your book is very inspiring, I am a singer/songwriter who just got my first taste of radio play or as you would say BSP, feels great, much love, dale
